I began building furniture out of necessity, furnishing our first home in New Orleans with what I could make. Over the past 50 years, I’ve created pieces for every place we’ve lived, including my current dining table made from reclaimed gymnasium bleacher planks.
My favorite pieces to build today are rocking chairs. After years of refinement, I’ve settled on an angle that produces a smooth, balanced rock. While many pieces shown here have been sold, I welcome the opportunity to design and build something custom, such a carved front door.
